Vermont Business Magazine presented the Rising Stars, Class of 2013 at a special reception and dinner. The ceremony celebrated 40 Vermonters under the age of 40 and took place at the DoubleTree Hotel Conference Center in South Burlington, VT.
The 40 individuals were chosen from 150 nominees for their commitment to business growth, professional excellence and involvement in their communities. Governor Peter Shumlin addressed the honorees. Lisa Gosselin, Commissioner Vermont Department of Economic Development congratulated all the winners and handed out the awards.
Of the 40 honorees, there were 20 men and 20 women. There were 18 from Chittenden County, 1 from Rutland County, 2 from Bennington County, 3 from Addison County, 9 from Washington County, 1 from Windsor County, 2 from Lamoille County, 3 from Windham County and 1 from Franklin County. The average age of the winners is 32 years old. The oldest was 39 and the youngest was 23 years old.’
