The Sweet Taste of Success: Birnn Chocolates Recognized As Outstanding Business of the Year
VermontBiz and the Vermont Chamber of Commerce are pleased to announce Birnn Chocolates of Vermont as the recipient of the Outstanding Business of the Year Award. The award was presented on January 27 at the Vermont Economic Conference, the state’s premier economic gathering of business and policy leaders. Founded in 1915, Birnn Chocolates of Vermont represents more than a century of craftsmanship, entrepreneurship, and enduring commitment to doing business with integrity. Now in its fourth generation of family ownership, the company has grown into a nationally distributed brand while keeping its roots and its production firmly planted in Vermont.

Best Places to Work
This exciting initiative is dedicated to identifying and recognizing Vermont’s best employers.
An employee assessment will determine the Best Places to Work in Vermont. Winning companies will be highlighted in VermontBiz and will be recognized in Spring 2026.
All companies will receive their own Assessment Findings Report at the end of the process.

91 Influencers
It is with great excitement that VermontBiz Magazine celebrates the remarkable achievements of all the individuals chosen as the inaugural 91 Influencers here in Vermont. This prestigious honor highlights their unwavering dedication, innovation, and impact in their field and within the community, as they also inspire and lead those around them.
The name 91 Influencers was inspired by the date that Vermont became the 14th state, March 4, 1791. We believe that number of honorees was fitting considering we are a state with just over 645,000 residents but with so many influential people in Vermont.
