Career Highlights: The career highlight I’m most proud of is obtaining my Professional Engineering licensure. This was a goal of mine before I went to college and was both a professional and personal milestone to achieve.
Community Involvement: My community involvement includes volunteering at and supporting our local church. This includes supporting fundraising events and assistance with events during the year. I am also a member of the West Berkshire Cemetery Association where I am involved in maintenance, plot management, financial planning, and assisting families during burials.
What motivated you to live and work in Vermont I was motivated to live and work in Vermont because I was fortunate to grew up here and have always had a deep connection to our family farm. I love the outdoors, the seasons, and the opportunity to live near my family.
What is the best career advice: The best career advice I have received is “Always be willing to do the dishes and never ask someone to do something you wouldn’t do yourself.”
What three words best describe you: Three words that best describe me are; motivated, humble, kind.
Favorite Vermont escape: My favorite Vermont escape is Jay Peak Resort on a powder day!
Favorite Vermont season: Does deer season count?? Winter would be my favorite season in Vermont. I love a good old fashioned cold snowy winter!
Drawing on your experiences, what advice would you give to someone looking to get involved in community service: Its ok to be involved in something that you may not feel you are knowledgeable about or an “expert” in. Taking time to support someone or something can make a really positive impact on a person, even if it feels like a small simple gesture. The world would be a better place with a little more compassion!
