Career Highlights: I’m proud of the growth I’ve achieved in my professional skillset and the career trajectory it has sent me on. I entered the workforce with little knowledge of the role I was stepping into, starting as an intern. I’ve been able to learn & build organically from my own experiences, curiosity, and effort, as well as the experiences of those around me. I’m proud to now be in a position where I can help others do the same.

Community Involvement: My favorite way I’m able to give back to my community is through coaching high school sports. I’ve been coaching football at U-32 High School in Montpelier for 4 years now. As a player when I was young, I built a lot of character and learned how to be part of something bigger than me through the sport. It’s immensely rewarding that I’m able help younger generations do the same.

Outside of coaching, I’m proud to work for a company where I can stay involved with other parts of the community through different fundraisers and charity events such as the Kelly Brush Foundation and their annual Kelly Brush Ride.

What motivated you to live and work in Vermont: I’m a native Vermonter and have always loved the pace of living here. I spent some time away from Vermont in college, but here is where I wanted to put down roots.

Favorite part of your job: The team that I work with is absolutely what always keeps me coming back for more. We have a unique, collaborative, & intelligent group that can tackle any problem.

Most inspiring mentor and why: My former manager, David Bussman, has certainly been someone I look up to. He has always pushed me to be the best version of myself, advocated for me, and helped me grow. I owe a lot of where I am today to him.

What is the best career advice: My grandfather always said, “Keep doing what you’re doing until somebody tells you to do something different” – in other words, be confident in your abilities. I always try to remember those words when things get challenging.

Favorite Vermont escape: I can’t give away the location of my favorite camping spot, but getting out into the woods for a weekend with some friends & family is the best I can ask for.

Favorite Vermont season: The fall! Unbeatable weather and breathtaking views.

Drawing on your experiences, what advice would you give to someone looking to get involved in community service: Look for something that holds significant meaning to you and that you’re passionate about. Chances are, there are more ways to get involved than you think – you just need to reach out and offer to help.
